Roland "PD-140DS" Digital Snare ↔ NI Studio Drummer (/various Kontakt drum libs) translation: making 2 articulations ( ∙ Rimshot -vs- RimClick or Sidestick ∙ ) available from rim strokes: Rimshot playing method -vs- rim alone 😀👉 There are only 3 different midi notes that are transmitted from the digital Roland snare pad "PD-140DS " -> so by default there is no chance to get the Rim Only (or Sidestick - if your drum sampler does not provide an additional 'Rim Only' sound) articulation from striking the rim and the Rimshot articulation from striking the head and the rim simultaneously ( = authentic Rimshot playing method) because both types of striking share the same midi note. 🙁 ➡️ So I've built a fix to be able to trigger the Rimshot vs. Rim Only (or Sidestick from striking the rim alone) on your digital Roland snare 😃 --> (besides SD3 of course) you'll be able to play this fix feature with NI Studio Drummer (/various Kontakt drum libs) ENJOY ❗😊
