You are new to e-drums (and sick of module plastic sound! 🤮) and want to test Software Drumming with your existing equipment? -> then take some Szechuan Sauce - IT'S DELICIOUS!
The problem with most common (& also cheaper) audio interfaces is the poor headphones jack which makes it impossible to get the drum sound even loud enough.
So before buying a good & expensive headphone amp (/audio interface) try VST-e-drumming with freeware only (like 'SSD5.5 Free' -btw: freeware Hihat Fix available-) and boost the volume by using a saturation device that is very suitable for acoustic drum sound from drum samplers!
