Left / Right sticking distinction on a mesh padworkaround engine (for modules other than Roland "V71") ❗️😊👉

One of the biggest drawbacks of (mesh) pad e-drumming* is the fact that it is not able to translate and sonically represent the sticking played. (➜ on acoustic drums: the sound from your left hand/left stick is always different compared to the right -> the sound details from sticking (patterns / rudiments) are super relevant for musical drumming!)
* (when using modules other than the Roland "V71")

I've created a workaround engine with regular Positional Sensing-capable mesh pads (the Roland digital snare pad "PD-140DS" is highly recommended here) : you can use the 'center' zone for right hand samples and the 'off-center' zone for left hand samples :)

In order to get an authentic and consistent velocity translation from the 'off-center' zone, the engine uses the Roland Digital Snare (PD-140DS / PD-14DSX) - (CENTER-to-EDGE) loss of velocity Compensation FIX ( 👉 LINK )

So you can play NI Abbey Road Drummer libs and NI Studio Drummer (or similar drum libraries that provide right and left hand snare samples*) with that nice authentic sticking feature ❗️👌
* btw, you can create your own L/R samples in drum samplers that do not provide L/R samples (like Superior Drummer 3) by a mixing workaround 😎.

ENJOY ❗😊
