FREE Kontakt drum library | DS Drum - RCS Essentials (by Red Pack Drums) 'Dream Kit' e-drum FIX 😊👉


...ok, now the Red Pack Drums free Lib : WOW, this thing is huge!!! - propably the most powerful free drum library I've ever seen ❗. Tons of samples ( -> layer/round robin details) + even a 'wires-off' snare articulation and an 'AutoRimshot' snare engine is provided by default, ... and tons of sound options (i.e. mic channels + audio FX). Props to Jonathan and RedPackDrums 🙂.

Now here comes the 'DreamKit' for e-drums:

Features:

∙ Hihat : significantly increased Pedal "Chick" volume ;
∙ Hihat : increased 'BOW' ( -> 'Tip Tight' & 'Tip Closed') articulation volume ;
( ∙ Hihat : Roland TD-17 / TD-11 (and similar) Hihat Pedal CC range adaption )

∙ CUSTOM hihat curve :
Detailed custom hihat pedal translation (by CC value remapping) -> YOU decide what pedal position will trigger a certain hihat open-closed stage.
...and skip stages of your choice if you don't want them! (i.e. assumed you want the "Closed" stage instead of the "Tight" stage at fully closed pedal position) ;

∙ additional Variable Hihat Feature: Consistently controllable 2-closed-stages Variable Hihat for e-drummers 👉 LINK


∙ removing buggy samples : all samples with noises like voices (there are some of those funny culprits 🥴...)


∙ additional advanced Snare fix feature: Snare Engine toggle in order to switch between the provided 'Auto Rimshot' articulation (which introduces an adjustable dynamical 'CenterHit'↔'Rimshot' splitting on the pad's head zone -> nice for certain louder musical situations)
and
the normal default Snare state ( = 'Center Hit' articulation is on the pad's head zone and 'Rimshots' (also possible with a dynamically triggered 'Rimshot'↔'SideStick' splitting) on the rim zone.

So switch (by pad hit) during a song/drum performance after your current musical needs! 🙂 ;

∙ Ride : significantly increased Ride 'BOW' ( -> 'Ping'!) articulation volume (as the 'Bell' and the 'Edge' are so much louder) ;


∙ Double Bass Drum sound for single Kick Pads :
play a DoubleBassDrum sound with alternating Kick sounds (the second Kick will sound slightly diffrent in order to achieve an authentic DoubbleBass sound/feel and to avoid machinegunning) and toggle the kick drum engine (default Single-Sound vs. advanced engine Double-Sound) after your musical needs during a song (by dedicated toggle pad hit) 👍👉 LINK ;


∙ introducing detailed Velocity curves on single kit pieces/articulations = separated dynamical translation of single articulations (including 'Gate' and 'Ceiling' settings)
- example for separated settings within one kit piece : adjusting the 'Hihat Pedal Chick' independently from the 'Hihat Tip' and 'Hihat Edge' articulations
or
adjusting the 'Ride (Ping)' vel curve independently from the 'Ride Bell' or 'Ride Crash' articulation.


∙ adding TOMS (i.e. an additional lower pitched FloorTom or a Left FloorTom) ;

∙ adding a (right (for right-handers)) X-Hat (as it increases pleasure of playing so much and provides a varied hihat sound!) ;

∙ adding (the second available RPD DS Drum-RCS Essentials snare drum as a Side Snare) ;

∙ adding further Cymbals (which are of course also chokeable 👌) -> i.e. a second Splash / a second China / more Crashes + maybe a second Ride) ;


∙ adjusting & improving kit PANNING for Toms & Hihat(s) & Ride(s)
