creative e-drum engine : [A↔B] Kick Sequence Switch for single kick pads 🙂👉

∙ Sequence Switch for the sounds from 2 Bass Drums (played on a single kick pad)

➜ play alternating Kick sounds [A↔B] (Kick B differs soundwise from Kick A to create A-B sound alternations/sequences (outside of "metal-style" double bass lines) ;

[ ➜ check out the sound effect of multiple kick sounds in Jonathan Moffett's "Three-Bass Drum Technique" (the A-B method with two kick sounds is very similar) 👉 LINK ] )

...and switch (while playing / during a song) the kick drum engine depending on the musical part / situation / requirement -- 'default' single sound ["A"] vs. 'advanced Engine'-Double-Sound ["A↔B"] .

➡️ ...and switch the A-B sequence to achieve specific repetitive kick sequence patterns ❗️
➜ this is a unique and super creative e-drum engine 😊

There are 2 options for Kick sounds played on a single kick pad :

1. generally toggling 'default' single sound ["A"] vs. alternating Kick sounds ["A↔B"]
-> I use one dedicated Toggle Pad (/pad zone) on the left side and one on the right side. And I've set up the left pad with an additional snare center sound ; the right pad is silent.

2. switch the A-B sequence to achieve specific repetitive kick sequence patterns!
-> I use two dedicated Toggle Pads (/pad zones) on the left side and two on the right side. On each side, one pad of them is silent and the other one triggers a 'Closed Hihat' sound.

In the video I'm using Superior Drummer 3.

SD3 stock library kick drums used :
[ "A" : 16 x 24" Pearl Masterworks ] ; [ "B" : 16 x 20" Pearl Masterworks ]

There is a bit SD3 Kick tuning applied (in order to increase the distinction in pitch) : [ 24" Kick : ➜ slightly lower in pitch ] ; [ 20" Kick : ➜ slightly higher in pitch) ]

...but there is also the default SD3 Kick tuning (original pitch for both kick drums) - so you can check the difference. :)

The ' Kick [A↔B] - engine ' / ' Kick [A↔B] Sequence Switch - engine ' is available for "Reaper" and "Cubase" DAW
...and of course for various drum samplers :) . No further paid software is required.

...So get creative with two kick sounds ❗️ - I would love to see and hear your drumming/your music using dedicated A-B kick sequences 😍

ENJOY ❗😊
